yea, if you have a place you like to download music for free straight to your computer (i.e. limewire, dc ++, torrents, and the like) you have to drag your music from the folder the programs you use download it to and then put the music file on your desktop. then all you have to do to put it on ur nano is plug ur nano into the computer, open itunes, and then from your desktop, drag your music into itunes. From there, it will start to copy onto your nano and the music should come up on your ipod. This is all free of course.

I know a way to do it for free but it still uses itunes.

    1. Download Limewire or Frostwire via website below.

    2. Search for songs you want to download to your computer by name and double click them to begin download.

    3. After download is complete they save to your library.

    4. Go to your library of songs and then, click once to highlight the song you want. Then press Enqueue/ the button with the green plus.

5.Then Click Save As and name your playlist.

    6. Open iTunes and go to file and import.

    7. Click on the List you made from limewire/frostwire and it will load to itunes.

    8. Plug in your third gen ipod nano AND BAM!

Free songs onto your ipod. These will not have covers from the songs.

    Hope i helped. Good Luck

A lot of people use LimeWire, and I would suggest it as well. I heard that you can also convert YouTube videos, but I am not sure about that…

Go To Youtube and copy the URL of the song you want. Then go to zamzar.com and change the file and send it to your e-mail that you can dowload.

I have the same thing and I use SoulSeek. You have to download it, then type in the song, then download the song. There’s supposed to be instructions. It’s free to download, just find the free one if you search it on google its like the 3rd or 4th one. Good luck!
